Governor Jorge Kapitanić announced on Thursday a new teacher salary guideline that would apply a trigger clause and an additional 5% increase in the value of the point, thus achieving a 20% increase from Oct. 1.

From January 2021, the provided teaching enhancements accumulate 252% for part-time workers and 325% for workers with extended working hours. These percentages imply, respectively, a monthly salary in October of $ 83,500 and $ 101,000 without seniority.

“The growth of teachers’ salaries, so far this year, is 85%. This means a significant improvement in the income that teachers had in the province,” the governor said. He recalled that Chaco is the only province that retains a trigger clause (which is determined by the NEA region’s inflation rate) for all teachers.

“The recomposition of salaries from 2019 was systematic and clear. Overcoming the inflation rate, changing wages and increasing the income structure of Chaco education workers,” said Capitanic, who was accompanied by ministers Santiago Pérez Pons (from planning, economics and infrastructure) and Aldo Lineras (from education).

As part of the announcements, the president provided a free ticket for middle-distance teachers from February 2023 and a new credit line as part of the Digital Inclusion program, aimed exclusively at industry workers.

“From this leadership, we have made a commitment with 19 unions that the teacher’s salary will beat inflation in this 2022, and so we are complying with the payment clause and creating additional ones that guarantee the repackaging of wages,” said Minister Perez Pons.

Minister Linenas, meanwhile, praised the work of the salary table and thanked the teachers and Chaco families who had adapted to the extended school day. “It’s been a good year with good achievements, such as the introduction of Connect Equality and Books to Learn, which promote pedagogical continuity and quality of education,” he said.

Advantages in transport for teachers

In addition to the new announcements, a free ticket for teachers on the mid-range lines is being added through the Subsecretariat of Transport. Thus, workers who must collectively travel to another municipality of Chaco to perform their tasks will not have to pay a ticket in the schedule of their working day from the 2023 academic year. Registration for access to the benefit will be available from December.

More inclusivity for teachers

On this occasion, the Ministry of Planning, Economy and Infrastructure ratified a new zero-rate credit line within the framework of the Digital Inclusion program, aimed exclusively at training employees to purchase a computer.

The state accompanies this management with important investments, subsidizing 100% of the financial costs of the loan provided. Loans can be requested in the amount of 150 to 350 thousand pesos, and financing can be in 12, 24 or 36 installments.

Teachers interested in accessing this benefit can register from November 1 in the “Digital Inclusion” application of the “Your Digital Government” platform.
